CBS Sports Radio Host Plagiarizes 3-Month Old Tony Romo Article

Chris Arnold is the house "emcee" of Dallas Mavericks games and co-hosts "G-Bag Nation" on 105.3 The Fan. He also was the center of a failed 2011 Super Bowl concert that was supposed to feature three scholarship winners performing with Erykah Badu and Prince (there are conflicting reports about whether Prince ever flew into Dallas or not, or even signed the contract). Now he's written an article defending Tony Romo, which he promoted on Twitter.
The problem? That article was written by Scott Kacsmar. In July. The first clue being some of the stats weren't even adjusted to include this season. More after the jump.

Boy, They Love Their Horned Frogs Around Here

And that's against Kansas. With a 24-17 lead in the 4th.

This Man Just Called Everyone In The Media Nerds

Rays P David Price had a bad ALDS Game 2. He gave up seven runs in 7+ innings, and claimed Big Papi watched his second home run too long. So how did Price handle the rough night?
To be fair, Hayhurst was wearing a bowtie yesterday, and demonstrated the "Vulcan changeup" last week. But Price didn't keep his criticisims to the Turner guys:
Afterwards, TBS' Keith Olbermann tweeted this picture.

Arian Foster Is A Whore

Or, that's at least what Dickie V says.
In an upcoming EPIX documentary, Arian Foster admitted to taking money and benefits during his time at Tennessee. CBS' Gregg Doyle retweeted the link, and then Dick Vitale put in his two cents. And when someone called him out, he dug his hole deeper.

Luckily everyone reminded Dickie V why his statement, which is pretty much how the old guard feels, is hypocritical.

Bills Fans Show Up Dressed To Kill Against Patriots

Funny joke. Too bad it couldn't prevent that 23-21 loss to New England.

Serious Tweet or Contest Promo - You Make The Call

Hard to tell. Either this is a horrible incident that needs to be corrected, or the best stunt since the $10,000 Fugitive.

Hey, That's Great! But Who Are The "Figthing Irish?"

While your Heisman-candidate linebacker's fake dead girlfriend is pretty embarrassing, nothing must sting more for an institute of higher eduction than having a misspelling on the large cups for your home opener. But what do we know? It's only one of the most famous nicknames in sports.
Great...googily moogily. (More pics after the jump.

QB's Bro Ain't Cool With Coach

Well, the plan was for QB Clint Chelf to start for the Oklahoma State Cowboys Saturday. But after two series of going 3-6 for 11 yards, coach Mike Gundy pulled Chelf for J.W. Walsh, who went 18-27 for 125 yards in a win over Mississippi State. While the team certainly celebrated, Clint's brother Colton (a former Cowboy WR himself) took to Twitter to show his displeasure:
2 series lol @CoachGundy your a chicken shit.
 — Colton Chelf (@coltonchelf) August 31, 2013
Colton has since deleted his tweet, maybe because he regrets making such comments public, or maybe because he learned from The Oklahoman's Jenni Carlson how Mike Gundy feels about negative comments.

And yes, that's a man yelling at a woman for criticizing a legal-adult "kid."

Don't Worry, Tarheel Fan: P.J. Hairston's Coming Back!

That's what UNC AD Bubba Cunningham (BUBBA!) promised at a faculty retreat. He said Hairston would return to play, "but not all the games." The man who leaked this out? A journalism professor: Andy Bechtel.
Hairston was UNC's leading scorer (14.6 per), but he's had a rash of off-the-field issues that resulted in a suspension in the offseason. But now UNC might look past a speeding a reckless driving charge. And a seperate possession of marijuana and driving without a license charge (which he's gone through a drug program for). And the fact there was a gun in the 2013 Yukon he was driving. And the fact the car was rented by a Haydn "Fats" Thomas, a convicted felon.
Yes, UNC forgives!

The Don Cherry Tweet-Tale Of The Day

Don Cherry is a legend. A legendary NHL coach and longtime analyst on Hockey Night In Canada, "Grapes" has always set the standard. So why are we surprised that when Don took on Twitter last year, he wasn't going to do it the same way everyone else did? First off, he's admitted he rarely does it himself: he sends his take into a staffer at the CBC who tweets it for him (which is awesome to think he's got a tweeter on call). Second, he doesn't give a shit about your 140 character limit: when Grapes speaks, he takes as long as he needs to. And third, he doesn't limit himself to hockey (which he sometimes doesn't do on "Coach's Corner"). He's touched on subjects from baseball and foreign aid to today's subject: the sad fate of his goldfish, reminding us that on the inside he's just a big softy.
Don't ever change, Don. Don't ever change.
If you want to follow Cherry's stories yourself, you can find min at CoachesCornerCBC on Twitter, and he also has a daily short podcast on Sportsnet 590 in Toronto.
